The end is near for Motley Crue
The rock band that brought the world “Girls, Girls, Girls” and “Dr. Feelgood” announced during a news conference in Los Angeles that the band will retire following a 72 date concert tour.
“We want to go out with the four founding members of Motley Crue and go out on top,” said lead singer Vince Neil.
Neil, Nikki Sixx, Tommy Lee and Mick Mars will hit the road with guest star Alice Cooper on July 2.
“We started talking about how we want to go out. We don’t want to hobble off into the sunset,”said Sixx.
The members signed a “Cessation Of Touring Agreement” during the press conference that will keep members of the band from performing using the band’s name or logo. Tickets for “The Final Tour” are available starting on Wednesday. The band will sell some tickets for as low as $15.
