Those, who know a legendary city of Sevastopol, may be surprised to hear a track, created by a famous musician and a DJ Moby, who lives on the other side of the planet. In fact, Moby has never been in Sevastopol in Crimea.
As a matter of fact, Sevastopol is a fortress city and a pride of the Black Sea Fleet, a city, that bears its battle glory and sacredly guards its valorous history. Moreover, Sevastopol is one of the most picteresque places on Earth, situated in the south-western part of the Crimean peninsula. Every year a lot of people are attracted to this place. Some of them fall in love with it and start dreaming of staying here forever... There is something in this city, that attracts like a magnet.
The city lives a calm, steady, yet conservative life at the moment. However it's not typicalof all inhabitants! One can meet, among them, people, who have a supply of happiness, creativity, vigorous energy, drive, ever-lasting optimism and a striving towards everything new... These people are so tuned with the music, created by Moby!
Is this a coincidence? The thing is, that we don't believe in it  So, on discovering this creative "hello" from Moby, we thought it is definitely NOT a coincidence, but a great opportunity for us to create a new "live" project! Our goal was to send our creative "hello" back to Moby with a video, in which people, living in the city of the Sun (that is how this city is also often called), dance their best!
Dear Moby, thank you for an inspiration, which filled our lives and our city! Let our "hello" fly to you in no time! Lots of love, Sevastopol.

ok, i realized i forgot to put up a 'i've made a lot of videos and here's one of them' video this week.
so, here's a video.
although it's actually a surrealist student film.
here's the story: in 1986 my friend paul and i were at suny purchase and we both ended up in a class called 'surrealism and literature'.
and instead of writing a final essay we made a short surrealist film.
shot on super 8 and edited with a tiny super 8 editor/splicer in paul's kitchen.
and we made the music on my 4-track cassette recorder, with paul playing casio synth while i banged on a cheap drum i found in the garbage
so, here's 'geranium', not a music video, but it has music. and it's video. so i guess technically it fits the criteria for being included.
plus i really like it and i'm amazed that it was made 26 years ago.
you'll notice i have hair.
and some of the shots, like the human kite, are pretty great.
oh, our teacher's loved it and we both got a's. possibly the only 'a' i ever received at college.
and some back story, we were both obsessed with 'un chien andalou' and 'l'etoile de mer' and early cocteau and man ray and other early surrealist films, so that's kind of what we were hoping to channel and/or be inspired by.
